  • What is the typical class size?

    We usually host 14 guests. However, we can adjust the class size for special events and private classes.

  • Are beginners welcome?

    Yes! Our chef instructors go over all the necessary basics in the beginning of every class, and then delve into the specific cuisine of the evening. Our classes are entertaining and informative for all levels. So beginners as well as more experienced cooks are welcome in all of our classes!

  • How long are classes?

    Classes typically last around 3 hours, unless otherwise noted.

  • Should I arrive early?

    Yes, please feel free to arrive about 10-15 minutes early to find parking and get situated.

  • Do I need to bring anything to class?

    Just your love of food! The Cookery Dallas provides everything you’ll need.

  • Should I eat before class?

    Feel free to come as hungry as you like.  Each class consists of a three to four course meal, as well as an appetizer ready for you to eat when you arrive.

  • What should I wear?

    Whatever makes you comfortable! Our classes are very hands-on, so we suggest casual clothing and shoes.

  • Are classes hands-on?

    Yes! Only The Cookery Dallas offers hands-on dinner party style cooking classes.  Unlike other cooking classes where you may only participate in making a few items, at The Cookery our guests will gain knowledge, skills, and confidence while actually preparing our 3-4 course meal.

  • Do you offer vegetarian options?

    Yes! We can make select menu items vegetarian if given prior notice.

  • Where should I park?

    The Cookery Dallas is located at 1130 Dragon Street, Suite 180, Dallas TX 75207, but our studio entrance is around the corner to the left on Howell Street.  There are plenty of spots in front of the studio on Howell Street, and also around the corner on Dragon Street.  If you ever have a problem parking please call us at (469) 400-8514. 

  • How can I cancel/change a class if I am within your cancellation policy?

    1) Sign into your on-line account on our calendar page and click on the my account icon - it is to the left of the shopping cart icon. 

    2) Find the class you are canceling and click the trash can icon to the left of "modify"  

    3) Click the "cancel it" button

    When you finish, your account will show an account credit. Refunds are given only as class credit. For your next purchase, the shopping cart will automatically apply the credit and deduct the cost of your purchase from your account credit before it charges your credit card.

    Online payment via credit card is secure, fast, easy and will guarantee that your registration is processed immediately.

  • What methods of payment do you accept ?
    Our online system allows us to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
